Today's Modern Patterns

I love the patterns in Great Little Gifts to Knit: 30 Quick and Colorful Patterns because they aren't big and chunky which means we know you knit it. If you give someone something from this book, will they say you made it? Indeed? I thought you bought this in a boutique. There are so many things in this book that I would like to do for myself before starting the gifts. My favorites are the Fiesta shrug with matching fingerless gloves and oversocks. There is also a McDougal dog jacket that I would like to knit for my two cats. The photos in the book are just beautiful. There is also a Tips and Techniques section, which are very helpful, such as sewing on beads, tells about reading the scheme, color knitting and much more. As someone who has learned to knit since my mother taught me when I was 8 years old, I highly recommend this book. If you think you're just a beginner knitter, don't be afraid to try something at the next level because it really isn't that hard, you'll be surprised how easy it is. The book uses rowan yarn, but at the end of the book there is also a guide to changing and changing yarn. Just remember to always check your pressure gauge - that's easy too.
