The drive was purchased for the NAS to replace the failed ST2022VM003 (it worked for 6 years). Restoration of redundancy in the array survived quite successfully, as expected from a disk with a traditional (non-tiled) magnetic recording scheme. It's too early to talk about reliability, we'll see. Contrary to the fears that appeared after reading some reviews, I did not notice any noticeable noise from the new drive: the sound of rotation does not stand out against the background of drives with 5400 rpm, the sound of head positioning is muffled, not crackling or ringing. And, by the way, it vibrates much less than many of those HDDs that have been used before and now.
