I love this product for its ease of use, no plastic contact with my food and no electricity required to operate! It makes great yogurt! BUT I noticed the jar didn't hold a full liter and after checking I found that the jar supplied was shorter than the standard American liter jar. When I tried to use a Mason brand one liter jar, it was too big for the bottle cap to screw on. I was able to cover the bottle with a cap, but I couldn't unscrew it to keep the contents warm during fermentation. I bought this after reading that ANY liter can be used, but that's not true. The bad thing is that I love this bottle and don't want to return it, but once the glass that comes with it breaks I can no longer use the bottle for its intended purpose.
