After experiencing some intermittent graphics glitches that were fixed by restarting the monitor, it died out completely after just six months. I called customer service and after waiting an hour to be routed to the correct department, I was told that a replacement would be dispatched via customer service promptly the next day. I was very happy at that moment because it meant I would only be out for a day, what great customer service! Unfortunately, shortly after, I received an email notification of the return process, stating that the ESTIMATED shipping time was early January at the earliest (a full month from the start of the return). I quickly called back and was told there was nothing they could do because they only ship "like for like" and by the end of the year they are "always" sold out. When I asked what I should do without the monitor for a month, the customer service rep suggested contacting Best Buy and then sending the replacement back within the return period. The monitor, when it works, is excellent (apart from the awkward touch controls on the front). However, if something goes wrong, don't rely on HP to actually support their product.
