I think it exceeded my expectations. I'm a college student who needs to lug textbooks to and from campus (I commute to work, not dorm) so I need a really good book bag that won't hurt my back if I have to stand on the train home. It was also important to me to have a bag with a good place for a laptop, because I carry it with me every day. This bag serves its purpose although it is a bit big. I'm a very short person so it looks big on me. But compartments make organization much easier. Very easy to put on and take off. Adjustable straps are a bit difficult to manage. I found that I had to take the bag off, adjust it and then try it on, not on my back. But overall this bag is handy and I would recommend it to any college student or anyone who has to carry a lot around with them every day. Also, with the broken string problem that everyone had, I also found a loose string, but it was so minor that I just cut it off and there was no more problem.
