Review on ๐ŸŽฏ High Accuracy PH and TDS PPM Meter Pen Combo for Household, Pool, Aquarium, and Laboratory โ€“ Digital Tester with ยฑ 2% Readout Accuracy and Temperature Meter by Richard Jarvis

Don't waste money.

I have several pH meters, from a more expensive wall meter to many stick meters. I calibrate them regularly and always keep them moist in the right storage solution. This is the most inaccurate and unreliable meter I have ever purchased. Out of the box I calibrated it with all three solutions included in the kit. After calibrating I put it back in the 7ph calibration solution and it was off by more than 0.5. I recalibrated the device and then tried a different brand of calibration solution (7.00 again). There were no meters nearby. Then I tried testing the tap water (my tap water, aka well water, usually has a score of 7.4). The first time he showed 8.2, the second time 6.5). Also, this gauge is NOT waterproof, which means you can only stick it up to less than an inch into what you're testing. Most gauges, even the cheapest ones, are waterproof, so you can dip them a little deeper for more accurate readings. Finally, nowhere in the instructions does this meter mention keeping the meter's bulb wet in the storage solution. It says to dry the meter before storing it. The included lid doesn't even have a dry sponge to add the solution to keep it moist. Unless there's some new technology that even the most trusted pH measurement companies don't know about (who don't know), that alone should bore you. The TDS meter works well and is accurate to within 10ppm, but again this is NOT water. Proof, and the device cannot be submerged more than an inch. Bottom line: don't waste your money on this. The only reason I gave 2 stars is the tds meter. pH meter shows zero.
