These compression shorts actually have good compression. They have an integrated cup pocket, which you'll need if you're actually into MMA or soccer, but still fit if you don't need a cup. I'm 6'0", 200 pounds and losing weight. I buy medium, 32-33 and they fit great. The length is perfect for me. They are mid-thigh and don't reach the bottom of my load. Old school mid-thigh shorts, not baggy below the knee. Just ordered my fifth pair while my original pair from two years ago are still in great condition. The price at $25 is very reasonable too. I recommend. I won't try to buy anything else.UPDATE: I recently received a white pair of these compression shorts and avoid them.For some reason the white pair was larger and didn't fit.The white pair also had different tags and was clearly of poor quality. Stick with black or red and you should be happy.
