Reliability issues

Bought 2 of these boards for my sons for Christmas. Along with 3900x processors, Corsair 32GB 3200MHz memory kits, Corsair H115i cooling, 1TB 970 plus M.2 drives, Lian Li cases, 9 in total. One board had 04xx bios, the other had 10xx bios . Both looked good. Both systems updated to the latest BIOS 1405. Both updates were performed via USB and completed successfully without incident. One board could no longer recognize boot devices, although both boards appeared in the mail and were even able to run diagnostics in the Asus bios. It didn't let us boot from any of them and only showed 0 boot devices. Maybe there was an easy fix for this, but we couldn't find it and tried all the options to enable/disable Secure Boot etc. I had to start over and restart Windows. On the other board, the built-in aura lights stopped working. They don't appear and eventually just turn purple. Armory Crate software just freezes when trying to see Aura devices. Reset bios and nothing. Now we have to replace this board, which I don't expect. The boards seem great, but problems like this between them make me worry about their reliability. Without these problems I would have given 5 stars.
