I bought this set primarily for one of these rulers, namely for cutting edges on watercolor paper. Depending on what kind of paper you are trying to tear will depend on how easy it will be. A water pen is included to soften the edge for easier tearing. When I tried the 140g 100% cotton paper it was very difficult to get a good tear. Maybe letting the water soak into the paper a little helps, and I'll try that next time. They're made out of plastic, which is pretty flimsy so you need to be careful not to break it. Deckle Edge lines are hard to come by and I've only seen one other one and it was $40. It would be nice to be able to buy one a little cheaper without buying 3, 2 of which I don't need.
