Couldn't use it on any chair: not my leather office chair, not a wood backed dining chair, not a car seat. It can stay on some fabric upholstery, but not on leather/wood. If the back of your chair isn't perfectly straight, it won't work either. The backrest of my office chair is quite wide and has very slight curves on the sides. I've tried adjusting the straps many times. But he never stayed in the right position: either he pulled himself up with the elastic elasticity of the tightened straps, then with the straps loosened he jumped partially forward... or the whole thing rolled down... what a commotion! Also, it's an awkward size. I'm 5ft 8" and it doesn't fit my back. I was trying to find a use for it in the car. But the straps are too short even when fully extended. I tried it in the driver's seat and one of the belts came loose, the other was fastened but stretched to the limit and threatened to snap. The foam is good and would provide some support if sized for the average adult and stays in place for more than 10 minutes (stronger and less springy/elastic straps may be needed). After wasting my money on this worthless product, I decided to invest in a good ergonomic office chair with an integrated support.
