Bought this Roku Express for a little under thirty bucks here on Amazon. It will replace the 3rd gen Apple TV that my sister should have by now. Apple TV is still good, but I wanted something more powerful and versatile. and Roku Express is everything and more. see my attached photo comparing the Roku Express to my old Apple TV: DO NOT be fooled by the small box size of the Roku Express device. Roku Express is a powerful device. personally very satisfied with Roku. It's like going back to Apple. Enjoy watching Hulu, Revain Prime Video, CBS All Access, ESPN (with the new ESPN+ which was NOT available on my old WatchESPN channel on Apple TV), HBO and other channels like TheCW (which was NOT available with the old Apple TV) and Pluto TV (which has its own free-to-air TV schedule including free movie channels and some popular cable TV news channels), Crackle, the Roku TV channel, and news channels like CBSN, NBC News , ABC News and NewsON (for your local news station) and CBS Sports HQ (CBS' new digital sports news channel). There are more channels to choose from, but these are the most channels in my lineup on my rock. very versatile and more reliable than on my old Apple TV. Also, a must-have channel is YouTube, which looks better on roku than the simpler version of YouTube on AppleTV. and having YouTube on Roku definitely makes Roku a better bang for your buck if you're also considering an Amazon Fire TV box. Don't be surprised if you need YouTube because Google blocks YouTube on Amazon Fire TV. In other words, Roku doesn't have YouTube and Amazon Fire TV. a few things with roku can be seen as downsides, but luckily you can work around them: (1) you can't turn off roku because it just goes to sleep mode and always has the screensaver on - the solution is to plug in the usb for power supply into the USB input of your TV, and when you turn off the TV, Roku will also turn off, or you can connect the power supply for Roku to the power bank, which can be turned off at any time; and (2) when registering roku for the first time, you must provide your payment information, for example for a credit card or PayPal, but if you don't like it, you can later delete this payment method by signing up online with a roku account web browser. very happy with this Roku Express. Now it's like saying goodbye to Apple TV. and hello forever Roku.
