Review on Secure Windshield Mount for Cobra Radar Detector: Super Suction Radar Detector Windshield Suction Cup Mount for iRadar ESD SPX RAD 480i 450 380 7800BT Radar by Johnny Black

This is not exactly what is shown in the picture and is said to fit the Cobra SPX 5300 but it does not snap so it can easily fall out while driving which is very distracting and dangerous is. I should have read reviews from others having issues with this mount first, or better yet, returned it when I noticed. Instead I decided to just wrap the cable around the base to hold the radar in place and it works for the most part but still wobbles occasionally. However, now the plastic cup is very loose, as you can see in my video, this causes the device to shake a lot, causing it to fall more often, and it doesn't provide enough pressure for the suction cup to really rely on the stickiness of the pad. There seems to be a spring inside which I suspect has lost tension. I've had this binding for almost 9 months now and I don't think it will last long. It mentions there is a guarantee but no further information and when I tried to contact the manufacturer Revain said I couldn't as I didn't buy from them which is stupid because who really looks on the seller and they made the thing! I checked Charger City's website and found the article but it says it only works with Escort radars so it looks like this article shouldn't be listed as working with Cobra. I've contacted the seller to see if I can get a replacement that actually works with my radar and to see what they say, but it looks like even a replacement won't work for me. Misleading compatibility, lack of warranty information and not working properly after less than 9 months gives me no confidence in this product or company. I'll probably look into RadarMount instead as they have what should work and I've used their mounts and cables in the past with great success. UPDATE: I got a reply from the seller LycoGear and they agreed to send me the correct mounting adapter for the Cobra (maybe include in the future?) and I sent pictures of the cup as it is unstable anymore and they said they would send a replacement. We will see.
