It's definitely faster than its HDD counterparts, it's compact and quiet and it seems to perform well. I used it to play a 70GB game and it worked well enough. I had an issue that worried me - something on the line was causing a bad connection and it kept disconnecting and reconnecting. I'm not sure if it was the USB cable or the drive itself, but it can be a big problem if it gets disconnected during use. I checked the connections and as long as it's not broken it's working.
