Review on ๐Ÿงน Spectrum Diversified Mop and Broom Holder and Organizer - Utility Closet Storage and Organization for Cleaning Supplies - Garage Storage for Brooms and Mops - White by Larry Ton

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Only fits some mops: 1 of 4 for me

Media could not be loaded. The holder holds the mop well if the mop fits in the holder. Unfortunately, only one of my four mops fits in the holder. For example, the Swiffer Sweeper, with its softer, thicker handle, was too big to fit through the hole. I am including sizing and installation details so you can find out if your mops will fit in the holder. I am attaching three photos which I will refer to in this review. This holder works when you insert the pen into the circle from below. It is held in place by friction. See photo #1. You can see me holding the holder with the broom inserted into the hole. I don't touch the broom, it's held in the air by the friction created when it comes into contact with the holder. The split image in this photo shows a close-up of the knurled rubber ring that provides a good grip on the broom handle. The inner diameter of the hole is 1 inch. If the broomstick is thicker, it won't fit through the hole. For example, the Swiffer Sweeper grip has a thicker grip and I couldn't get it through the 1" hole. The holder has two hanging options: adhesive strips on the back and screws. A warning on the packaging not to use sticky tape on the wallpaper. So I had a space where I wanted to hang the holder, so I had to use screws. The supplied screws are simple screws, cavity wall anchors are not included in the scope of delivery. I had a few anchors on hand and was able to proceed with the installation. Assembly: After inserting the dowels into the cavity wall, I screwed the backplate in halfway, leaving some space between the wall and the backplate. This is necessary so that you can insert the top plate before tightening the screws (see photo #2). Photo #3 shows a broom hanging from a holder. Conclusion: A broom that fits in the holder sits securely in place and is easy to remove and replace. However, the description did not state any size restrictions and the Swiffer Sweeper I was planning to keep in this holder did not fit. The description did not clearly state the mounting limitations and I was unable to use the adhesive mount. Not all fasteners were supplied (no cavity wall anchors). So the rating "good" is 3 stars.

Pros
  • INCREASED STORAGE: Store your mop and broom against the wall to increase storage space without taking up floor space. Free up space in your laundry room, closet, hallway, or utility room by keeping cleaning supplies upright.
Cons
  • No power.
