This is the best option for permanent retainers or I'll get a horrible ulcer on my tongue. I use this on my permanent fixative so it doesn't irritate my tongue. I tried to get used to the fixative and the doctor said my tongue would get used to it but it never happened after so many years I was so tired of being someone who always had a tongue ulcer, i bought this wax and it is the best i can keep sores away. I've tried everything else. It's just a beautiful wax that can be heated with your hands, then shaped and applied to any tooth that gets in your way.
