I accidentally left my package in the 'donate' pile in Pennsylvania when we got back to Washington and it regretted when I had to weigh all the packages I wanted to ship. Do you know how hard it is to read the bathroom scale to decipher all those tiny lines? Not to mention the digital bathroom scale that is now engineered to register anything less than 10 pounds. So when I wanted to ship a £10 package, I was golden. However, being gold only about 10% of the time isn't much fun. Believe me. I was intrigued by these scales because they have features I like, but they are lighter and have a weird letter/packet shape that flips up. Also, it's red and I love red. I love that not only does it come with an AC adapter, but it also comes with a backup battery (and they come with batteries!) so you can still weigh things in the event of a power outage. It can also be USB powered, so you can also connect it to your computer if you wish. A power cord and USB cable are included with the batteries for the battery option. Very light and compact, but don't let that fool you - it can handle anything you throw at it. Okay, don't throw anything at him, be nice. Its compact size makes it easy to move to another room, for example when a husband picks it up to weigh something that needs to be sent. It seems really accurate - I haven't heard UPS or USPS rant about different weights as every ounce counts. And don't worry if your package blocks your view of the digital edition - they have an easy-to-use "Hold" button. This maintains the weight of the package even after it's removed, allowing you to see clearly. It's a little tricky when you're lugging around a large, bulky box, but it's certainly doable. And comfortable. It's worth the price, and the fact that it can run on three sources makes it even better. I can only recommend this scale!
