Review on πŸ”¦ TORCHSTAR Recessed Lighting Junction: Certified Brilliance for Every Space by Matthew Miles

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good product few errors

I like it very much. I put them in my basement while installing a new false ceiling. There used to be only 4 cans and now there are 12 lamps and it makes the room feel different. no basement. It was also a lot cheaper than making extra cans or Troffer. You should probably buy these. A few minor issues to be aware of: 1. The cable connecting the junction box to the light fixture can seem quite short. If you are upgrading you may need to re-route the 120v wires depending on where exactly the light is going.2. The junction box is a bit thin. The cover is very easy to bend, so be careful especially when there is more than 1 wire in the box.3. If you have a place where you connect 3 or more wires you will need to use a separate external junction box rather than trying to do it in the box of these lights. Using both sides of the jbox with 1 wire each is a very tight fit.3. One of my 12 makes a buzz from the driver/junction box. no big deal, but it worries me a little. The LED dimming still leaves a lot to be desired. It's dim, but not as dim as incandescent, so it's fine for most applications, but if you're doing something like home theater you might want something with better very low light performance. I would recommend buying these limitations.

Pros
  • πŸ’‘Easy Installation: Easy installation can be done in seconds. Simply connect the supplied junction box to the light using the male/female cables and secure it to the ceiling with the spring clip. The recessed case can no longer limit your choices. This IC-tested lamp may come into contact with the ceiling insulation
