Review on Allen Co. Heavy-Duty Hunting Big Game Gambrel with 1,200 lbs. Capacity in Black by Bryant Randolph

Allen's Heavy Duty Big Game Gambrel has a 1200 lb load capacity. and is intended for those who want to capture big game during the hunting season. While the product performs well on medium to light game, it falls short on heavier game. The Gambrel's construction is durable, using heavy-duty black-coated steel to resist rust and wear. It also features a unique locking system that keeps the animal securely in place when hanging. However, the hooks themselves are not as strong as advertised and will bend and deform under the weight of larger game. This was particularly frustrating for me as I had to make a few tweaks to the Gambrel to suit my needs. All in all, the Allen Company's Heavy-Duty Hunting Big Game Gambrel is a decent product, but it doesn't do the job. If you hunt small game, this Gambrel will come in handy. However, if you hunt big game, I recommend investing in a stronger, more durable harness.
