Review on Crankbrothers Highline Dropper Post Included by Donald Waller

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Just great! I love this dropper

I really liked this dropper seatpost. I ordered a 125mm drop and it's good enough for me (I'm 6ft 1" and ride a big frame Santa Cruz Bronson). I could have ordered a 160mm but it wouldn't have room for the floor to slide. half lowered when I want to adjust it. I have to let you know that this is my first Dripper post and I've only ridden a friend's KS Dripper bike once. I wanted a reliable dripper that would be easy to maintain and last a long time. I finally settled on this one because it uses an internal seal cartridge for spring action. I liked the internal seal cartridge because it was easier for the home mechanic to replace it themselves (if it failed) without having to send it to the shop. Plant for repair. I considered X-Fusion Manic, Giant Contact SL Switch and E13 TRS+ Dropper. Crank Brothers seem to have a good track record with the quality of their products so I went with them. I also liked it best because the dropper arm (included) can be mounted in many ways - left, right, under or over the steering wheel. My second pick is the E13TRS+ because it's fully mechanical and uses a metal hairspring. They just didn't have the 125mm travel option when I wanted them. The only downside to the E13 TRS+ is that it only has 4 positions and doesn't have the stepless adjustment of the highline. The three-year warranty was also a big plus for me.
