I should have spent a little more and gotten a higher quality stand. This is by no means complete crap, it's just not what I was hoping for. First, the top piece that the speaker sits on attaches to the stand with a single screw, but the holes don't line up. Installing an o-ring isolator between them as instructed will only make the problem worse. I'll drill a new hole, no big deal but it's not necessary. The second thing that disappointed me was the base's plastic tips and how tall and narrow they are. They don't seem stable on my hardwood floors. Another simple solution: I just put cork, rubber or carpet pads underneath, but again, that's not necessary. Third, the spikes that the speakers sit on simply pop into four holes that look like they've been screwed through. Incidentally, I'm putting a pair of white Paradigm Atom 2000C speakers on top and will probably paint the stands to match. as well as filling the bar with expanding foam to avoid resonance. I could also add some nut nuts to the bottom of my speakers and screw them to the stands for an extremely secure mounting option. I would NOT buy them again. I will update this review after actually using it.
