I've had a TP-Link connector like this without major problems so I thought I'd buy another one. Well that has changed with this one. I spent over 2 hours getting it working including 45 minutes of chat support with the TP-Link folks before giving up. Worst of all I threw away the package when it arrived so I can't return this piece of junk. Save your sanity and buy ANY other smart plug. I will also indicate that I believe the product has already been used and returned. It kept giving me an "already linked" error and a quick google search shows it was previously registered and should be reset by TP-Link. The support team had neither of these and walked me step by step through what I had already done (make sure you entered the correct Wi-Fi password, turn off your Wi-Fi network and forget it and re-enter your password just to make sure it's correct (make sure to restart your device, restart your router, etc.). Also, the unusually long wait times for responses from the support chat - combined with the fact that the product takes a long time to register - will drive you insane.
