Received my item today. Wow! I am very surprised by the good fit and finish, excellent quality, good materials and finish. Has good weight. All steel construction, 3/8 combustible steel plate and double sealed roller bearings. They turn very well. I could repair this item (even if I needed to) as most of the parts are bolted on or use steel set screws. I would have to open many filters to wear out this article. The cutting wheel is interchangeable and seems to be the standard size you can find. can simply be used to adjust the width to the desired filter. Insert the knob to adjust the cutting pressure. The device comes with surface mount hardware and has holes in the back. These are pan head screws, not wood screws. I plan to use this device in manual mode with the filter vertical in a vise. When I'm picky and I really try. As seen in the photo, the side has a little more travel before catching on the side, but this is not possible due to the length of the threaded shank.
