I am a gamer who just bought a new TV. I don't have room for a floor lamp in my room, and I've never installed a dimmer to light the room, so I needed some sort of ambient light while watching TV. Here's the story of why I bought it. Now for the rating. Thing is amazing! I ordered a medium length for my 55" curved TV and it works great. I actually just bent the strip to make 90 degree corners and didn't cut them, so you can do that too. Make sure you walk straight to the side and then up and down the TV to complete the strip. I lowered 3 LEDs in length before making a 90 angle resulting in slightly more light from those 3 LEDs on the right. If possible, hold it with someone before you attach it so you can see where the strip ends. If you only want the top light for your 55 inch TV, choose SMALL. AVERAGE will suffice from page to page. TWO MEDIUMS bypasses your entire 55" TV with a replacement, including the bottom. By the way, the light emitted is whitish, not yellowish, which is great. It's enough to keep your eyes from watching TV in total darkness with no other source, while still not being too bright (which I wouldn't like). This is amazing technology. I recommend this no matter what TV you have, no matter how far away you sit from it. It makes your TV such a focal point. Finally I re-glued the entire strip 3 times and it still has enough glue to stick to my TV. Although the first time clearly catches the most. Do not press the surface of the strip between all the LEDs unless you are 100% sure you like everything; and you will be golden. Hope that helps.
