I like these valves. They work. But... I bought 10 of these because at first I thought I was going to use them to replace the old check valves under the sink, they aren't perfect as it turns out. For this reason, and for ease of connection and disconnection, I prefer quick release valves. These pinch valves come in handy when you need to seal off the section they are installed in. Many local building codes do not allow quick connect valves in such locations. Also, I use these lines that end under my house - less worries about leaks in hard-to-reach places with shutoffs like this one. places in the house I recommend the use of quick release valves. Another benefit of quick disconnects is that water flow is a bit better I guess... so how does a PEX valve crimp like this have a slightly smaller ID?
