Review on MoKo Backlight Keyboard Receiver Controller by Carl Movahed

When I received this I noticed that some reviews said the 3.5mm headphone jack didn't work. I connected the chatpad to my controller and synced it to the USB port on the Xbox. The chatpad has an audio jack that plugs into the controller, and then you plug your headset into the chatpad. I noticed that my headset crackles when I plug it in, but I didn't hear any game audio. So the chat panel seemed to be working. I found that the audio jack wasn't properly integrated into the chat bar, preventing it from fully connecting to the controller. The fix is pretty easy if you have a small watch screwdriver. Remove the four screws that secure the chat panel. From there, carefully separate the pad and disconnect the connector from the motherboard. I removed the small bracket holding the 3.5mm audio jack, which finally gave it some play. Mount the pad together with the audio jack. Plug it in, then plug in the rest of the pad. And there it is, everything works beautifully. This is definitely a major manufacturing flaw in the design. But it only lasted 10 minutes. Both the chat bar and the sound now work properly. I am very happy with it. I just hope they fix this simple bug.
