Review on πŸ‘ž Cole Haan Zerogrand: Classic British Men's Shoes - Loafers & Slip-Ons by Justin Webb

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Stylish and comfortable but I don't like the corrected grain leather

They're lightweight, stylish and true to size, worn barefoot (dress shoe size - a full size under athletic in my case) and I give Cole Haan credit for that I can't find anything else on the market that strikes such a balance between elegant shoe design and casual shoe style/comfort. However, this is corrected facial skin. From sight and touch I can tell it's too tinted and shiny like plastic. Many leather shoes are worth a shoe, and in case you don't know, the new one looks good. But when worn, they look bad. The creases look very crumpled and you cannot smooth out any scuffs or nicks as the processing of the leather prevents this. It's the difference between a new car and a pair of jeans; one looks worse with wear, the other looks better. For the price, I prefer the Mephistos, which are less stylish, harder to find, and larger, but use real leather. So I returned mine.
