Review on KuRoKo Slim Lightweight Folio Case Cover πŸ“š for Remarkable 2 10.3 inch Digital Paper(2020 Released) by Kenneth Harris

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Good protection but uncomfortable to hold.

If you just need a protective case and you need it now, I think it's good enough. But it misses the main advantage of the original folio. Compared to my reMarkable 2 Book Folio, this case doesn't have the same ergonomics. It's not as uncomfortable to hold with one hand, but the rM2 Book Folio feels a lot better in the hand. The attached image should show the loop in the folio that the front cover will form when folded back. This is completely absent in Kuroko's case. If the designers used the same folding pattern as the Book Folio and added a TPU case instead of magnetic holders to hold the rM2 inside, I'd be happy. Laying it out as if I'm using reMarkable in landscape mode is a pretty short-sighted design decision for something that doesn't even have a landscape mode in the same vein as in this case. All I want. As you can see, it's the same Book Folio shape but with the same protective TPU shell used here instead of magnets. Granted, this Kuroko package does indeed have a hole around the 5-pin area of rM2, but speaking for myself and like-minded people, I would like Kuroko to keep access to the 5-pin area, but that's not the case case case. high priority.tl;dr: Good protection and quite uncomfortable to hold with one hand.
