For cars and boats only, power adapter not included.
Nowhere in the product description does it state that this is for car installation only. The IR emitter does not come with a power supply, there are only two wires attached that need to be plugged into a 12v car. But I wanted this kit for home use and as it was urgent I bought a 12v Power supply B and bought additional audio cables to connect to my TV. Everything works fine now, but I spent the extra $21 and would not have purchased this product if I had known earlier that it was for automotive use.
