Cannot be used straight out of the box. Does not come with a wall outlet or RCA cords, only has 4" red and black power cords. It is not complete.

Connection was easy. But a headphone turns off regularly. I'm stuck because I don't want to return everything to replace a headphone.

These headphones will work if you buy a plug and plug it into the transmitter. The sound quality is not as good as I expected. You hear a lot of noise and feedback. My two youngest children even hear with static noise when wearing headphones. My older child would rather drive in silence. Maybe it's just the one I got, but I'd buy a different kind next time.

The set is just great. The IR transmitter needs 12V DC/1A if you want to plug it in at home. Not a big deal as I'm sure most of us have some of our earlier electronics lying around. You cut the wires and connect them. Remember this kit is designed for use in a car so this is how the cables are installed. In terms of clarity, the sound is excellent and clear. Better than my previous RF version. Keep it up! I will definitely buy POWER ACOUSTIK again.

Well they look good and they're comfortable, but they suck. I installed them on my fold out DVD player in my truck with my kids and was excited to find out i would now have my own radio but then i turned it on and the sound was awful and the hissing was so bad you could barely hear the video.son said it doesnt bother him , I don't want his hearing suffered from the terrible sound quality Comfort yes, quality NO!

Nowhere in the product description does it state that this is for car installation only. The IR emitter does not come with a power supply, there are only two wires attached that need to be plugged into a 12v car. But I wanted this kit for home use and as it was urgent I bought a 12v Power supply B and bought additional audio cables to connect to my TV. Everything works fine now, but I spent the extra $21 and would not have purchased this product if I had known earlier that it was for automotive

I GOT THIS FOR A REALLY BAD HEARING IMPAIRED COUPLE. THE FAMILY TRIED TO CONNECT IT BUT DID NOT RECEIVE IT. NO CHARGING AND COMES WITH 2 AAA BATTERIES THAT ONLY SHOW ONE N FROM RED LIGHT. This is a good article HOWEVER you can make it work for TV or PC. He has a big problem, he doesn't come with a power adapter for the transmitter. It seems set up as a car accessory with 12 volt cables to connect to your car's audio system. You will need a 12 volt power supply and a way to connect it to the bare wires coming from the transmitter.
