Review on Capture Stunning Shots with 7artisans 25mm F1.8 Lens for Olympus & Panasonic MFT Cameras in Black! by Randy Perry

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Ten times better than lenses half the price

I bought a 7artisans 25mm f1.8 lens for video shooting, especially in low light and also in daylight with shallow depth of field. I prefer manual - that's about it. I tried the adapted CCTV 25/1.8 lens (as well as its 35/1.7 counterpart) available for half the price of a 7artisans lens (sometimes Fujian or Fotasy brands; with a more modern design) but couldn't live with it. neither with its barrel, which moves on its own chassis, nor with its inconsistent imaging properties. This lens can produce stunning images, but the 7artisans lens produces a much better image - sharper, with more contrast and softer bokeh. It's also very well built; I don't have enough words to praise him. Of course the image is a bit soft wide open, but that's excusable. For those tired of messing around with adapted manual focus lenses for CCCT or 35mm cameras, this lens is the perfect place to start.

A super cheap manual lens that has very good optical performance. I'm keeping mine.
