Review on ๐Ÿถ Rogz Utility Large Reflective Fanbelt Obedience Half-Check Dog Collar by Tracy Robinson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Suitable for little ones. Not ideal for initial training to avoid cravings, but can be a substitute for a longer duration.

I don't like using standard metal collars on my dog. Metal stains her neck. This should provide a similar effect without the metal, ie the collar tightens when the dog pulls. I hope the material means this is a more comfortable collar for her. Unfortunately it's not that effective but my dog got enough exercise with a regular choke collar so I'm using this one now. You're attracted, but that's a more humane compromise. My sister recommended it because her dog can run away. Apparently this solves this problem: dogs that can break out of the collar while walking. It's reflective, which is nice. My 45 lb border collie normally wears a medium sized collar but I needed a large one for this. If you have a large dog, try wrapping the rope in a circle to see how much room you need to put it over your dog's head. This will give you the minimum size in inches you need for a collar. I do not recommend using the collar as a 24/7 collar, only for walking. I would worry about choking if I wear it overnight and it snags and metal touches the neck and may cause discoloration or discomfort from the metal on the skin/fur.

  • Collars, Harnesses and Leashes
Cons
