Review on Goodyear Ultra Grip Performance plus 225/55 R16 95H winter by Stanislaw Glusinski ᠌

It was a terrible purchase, but I wasted my money.

Bought last fall and caused a storm of positive emotions in terms of handling and stability on different surfaces, but after 6000 runs (several trips to the Crimea and Adygea and rare outings around the city), the rubber stopped holding the road. After 4,500 km of run, when it hit a rut, there were problems with directional stability and parasitic drift of the front axle in corners on wet surfaces, it was a fault for the suspension and wheel alignment, but the service pointed to rubber. (Car mileage on the odometer on this rubber from 19 thousand to 24 thousand) The tread surface on both wheels had the same uneven wear of rubber blocks with lamellae. They were erased diagonally, which can be clearly seen in the photo. At the service, the master suggested that this was possible with constant emergency braking, but in my case they were not. Yes, and on a rear-engine light Smart, this is generally almost impossible. Saved the second car in the family. On the rear axle, tires of a different dimension and model, but of the same brand and everything is fine with it. (Different wide wheels) I strongly do not recommend this brand and model, because your life directly depends on the quality of winter tires. Didn't apply under warranty because I lost my purchase receipt. Got it from a tire service. All the best and the right choice.

Pros
  • Appearance, commercials and "paid" comparative tests and reviews.
Cons
  • Blend quality and tread. Rubber for 3-5 thousand, then all properties are lost and it can be thrown away.
