Review on πŸ”’ Penn Elcom Lockable Under Desk Laptop Drawer for 20-Inch Laptops - Premium Sliding Security Drawers, Model EX-6171B by Roger Diaz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Expensive but sturdy body and smooth opening/closing

I bought this drawer because my desk doesn't have drawers. The first 2 things that came to mind when I took it out of the box were: 1) It's SOLID 2) It was literally a joy to open and close the box. It's so smooth I just kept doing it for a while, it's so satisfying. Benefits/Features: Excellent opening/closing mechanism. It is smooth and pleasant to the touch. Opening/closing requires minimal effort, but it doesn't move. Slim. It's quite thin so it won't bother your feet too much, but it depends on your height and the height of your desk. Easy Installation: There were no instructions in the box, just the necessary screws and keys, but all you have to do is drill it into your desk. It took about 10 minutes including cleaning my table and turning. Sturdy Construction: Made of metal, it's sturdy and appears to be built to last. This also means that electronics or other metal objects without a housing can get scratched. At this price it would be nice if they included some sort of drawer liner. wrist rest. It also comes with some sort of wrist pad, which I think you could use if you like to rest your keyboard or laptop directly on it when open. (it's strong enough to support the weight) but that's not my use case. Cons: - Expensive. - No lining/padding (possibly foam). In the end, I'm happy with my purchase, but I feel the product is a bit expensive/overpriced.
