I am very happy with this purchase.

Ideal for storing your laptop under your desk for easy access. to the keyboard. Ventilation is excellent as the bottom of the box is a large porous surface with three rear slots for cable access. The smooth movement of the drawer slides and the convenient locking mechanism on the front left make it ideal for working with a laptop in a desktop replacement configuration. You can change the box to work.

I found this drawer to be about 3/4 inch shorter than my HP laptop and docking port. What I did was drill out the rivets on the bottom and remove the palm rest. This gave me about 3/4 inch more than the laptop and dock ports combination. As I then proceeded to connect monitors and power cords to the docking connector, I found that the back of the 3 U-notch drawer was too high up at the bottom of the U-notches to allow a connection. happen and be able to close the box. Expensive but sturdy body and smooth opening/closing

I bought this drawer because my desk doesn't have drawers. The first 2 things that came to mind when I took it out of the box were: 1) It's SOLID 2) It was literally a joy to open and close the box.
