Review on Jacquard Tie-Dye Kit for Vibrant DIY Creations by Carrie Spencer

I've never dyed tie-dye before so I approached this set as a total beginner. I'm glad I bought two of these. At the end of the project we only had 15 shirts dyed from two sets, not just one. We have some color left, but not enough for 15 additional shirts unless we leave them mostly white, and in the end we'd have to leave the color choice to the remaining dyes, not our preference. By purchasing a second set we were able to mix colors to create new colors such as orange, purple and green for additional options. Didn't buy any items from the menu but buying a second set was a lot cheaper! To create multi-person shirts, we simply used a wash marker and marked the tags with initials. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. I checked out the included DVD which has great ideas for making different types of tie-dye patterns but still adds a lot of creativity and a personal touch to the process. Even better, the colors stayed fast. I could also wash red clothes with a normal wash without any problems. Colors were vibrant and there was no bleeding. I recommend that if you work with several people, you set up several "stations" so that several people can work at the same time. For the work we used milk crates to allow excess paint to flow through them and not onto shirts where it is not desired.
