THIS IS MY 4TH SET IN THE PACKAGE. I have purchased several Kiara Sky products and my top coat has hardened. First, because I didn't know Seal and Protect was an "activator," and I didn't clean the brush before dipping it in the bottle, and I didn't wipe the nail with alcohol with a lint-free cloth, and second , because I didn't know Steps; Maybe I was too excited to finish my nails. The image uses Kiara Sky Dip but an azure top coat. My brush is not cured, there are no streaks on the nail and there is a slight sheen. What I learned is to apply an activator (strengthen and protect) after buffing and rub the product into the nail. Spray paper towel (clean) or rubbing alcohol or hand sanitizer and simply wipe away. Then, on a clean surface, apply a top coat to the nail as if you were applying a clear coat. If you need to add more to the nail, rub the nail brush on a clean surface (paper towel) before putting it back in the bottle. Excess activator on the nail that you may not have rubbed in will cause the brush to become harsh. It's not cute and doesn't look professional on your nails when they're striped. When I got streaks on my nails from a stiff brush, I literally wanted to hide my nails in public because I was unhappy.
