Macbook Pro 2019 Catalina - so far so good [Preview]

Unlike other DVD drives I've tried, this one looks solid and has an easy-to-use eject button that works the first time. The instructions were written by someone who hardly speaks English. It didn't work with VLC until I tried it with the default macos player, which told me it was set to region 2 and offered to change it to region 1. It now plays a commercial DVD and has burned a data DVD. I don't have a BR disc to try.
