Review on πŸ” Dust with Precision: HARRIS Diatomaceous Earth Powder Duster - 6 Inch Extension Nozzle by Sandra Wilson

Works great when spraying pyrethrum dust

This feather duster does exactly what it was designed to do. For me, it delivered a fine mist of pyrethrum dust into a small gap in the outdoor structure built around my gas fireplace liner. I had a huge colony of Yellow Vests settling in and I didn't have a better way to spread the insecticide. I make a comment here. The vacuum works really well when the yellow cover and socket are held down. But if you turn it upside down, the powdered solids won't squirt into the container. At best, you get a small snapshot of particles small enough to float in the air. It's simple physics and gravity. So definitely hold the applicator down. Additionally, the applicator extension that comes with this rag is only about 4 inches long. I believe this is sufficient for most applications, but if you need to get into tight spaces or other structures are blocking your access to the point where you need to place the injector, this extension just won't do. I solved this problem by going to a hardware store and buying 2 feet of 3/8 inch OD polyethylene tubing for about 24 cents a foot. see drawing. By using this tube instead of the included applicator extension, I was able to easily spread the dust exactly where I needed it and still hold the rag upright with the applicator on the bottom. Overall, this is a great product and well worth the small price tag. And with a simple addition, it becomes a great solution to a very annoying problem.
