I bought this because I do a lot of development (programming) on the go and also fly my drone for filming, but the batteries run out pretty quickly. This is very often handy for quick access to the power source to not just keep something on but actually charge it. Many smaller inverters give you enough power to keep the device running but not to actually charge it, and they tend to make a lot of noise. This is still loud (fan), but not incredibly loud. It was a great purchase.
