There were no problems with the remote control, the bulbs hang well and I liked the length of the cable at the power end. I would have liked better color control, but that wasn't the deciding factor. But pretty much on the day of the one-year warranty, the light just stopped working. The check indicates that the power supply (transformer/controller) is the likely cause of the failure. Since I bought the kit through Revain and not the DEWENWILS store, I can't get a replacement power supply. DEWENWILS will not sell it to me and Revain doesn't seem to have a compatible replacement. I'm still looking for a class 2 power supply, model ZYPS-P001, but I probably won't find another with a 5-pin socket. My guess is that unless it's the exact same model, the inside controls won't work. * Unfortunately, I was unable to obtain a replacement power supply. So I'm going to take a perfectly working string of lights and throw them away, spare lights and all. I bought another set because I was uncomfortable spending good money after bad. Waste makes me very sad. And at my age, I'm not a fan of climbing dangerous stairs either.
