Bought as a spare camera to take with me when I didn't want to take a big one. I appreciate its solid construction - the body is metal and that's what saved it. Once I had it in my back pocket and sat on it. The jeans I was wearing had metal buttons on the back and one was dented in the front which left a small dent but didn't damage the camera at all. If it had been plastic it would have ripped for sure. It definitely has limitations in when and how to take good pictures because it's just a basic camera. We found the photo to be washed out no matter which setting is enabled or how stable the surface it's placed on, if there's much movement at all. It is more sensitive than other cameras of a similar size/type that I have had. I just got into the habit of not even bothering to take photos on the go. I call out "Stop!" to the children. and they do what creates a mise-en-scène so that the image comes out right. This is a fun camera for my kids to play with and it has survived its little zoom abuse (4 year old is quite curious and loves it). But I wouldn't be happy if it was my only camera for an important event. or a vacation I wanted to remember.
