For a long time I used a magnetic plate that connected to the CD slot in my car stereo to hold my iPhone6 but it blocked the screen , so I couldn't display the time or any other information. Now that I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max I would need to attach a metal plate that would block the use of the Qi charger, so I looked for an alternative and found an Andobil car phone mount. It was easy to plug into one of the air vents to the right of my car stereo. There is a convenient notch on the bottom of the mount for connecting the charging cable to the bottom of the phone. My phone is in a protective case, but the clips reach far enough, although the case adds bulk. The phone grips firmly when the clamps close and releases instantly with a simple push of a button. I am very satisfied with this product.
