Looks like this snail finally got over a very nasty toilet blockage. The thin snake requires some finesse and I was eventually able to get it down at a very slow speed using a light impact drill. Doing this manually as directed will result in duplication. But it worked, and to achieve light weight and compact dimensions, thinness is required. In any case, the problem seems to have been solved after the conventional drill failed after a few uses.
