2 weeks and so far so good! The original part shows both BENZ and BOSCH.

My 05 S430 does not start the first time after a short stop. I ordered this part and installed it myself. 2 weeks and so far so good! The original part shows the BENZ and BOSCH part numbers, while this part shows only the BOSCH part number. Here are the rough removal steps after watching some good videos of yours. Pipe: 1. No need to remove the heat shield, just bend or push it down to give you more room to work with the E8 torx screw. I didn't do this when unscrewing the bolt, it was difficult as there wasn't enough room to do the socket directly on the bolt due to the heat shield and I had to use a 1/4.2 socket. Use a 1/4 or 3/8 E8 Torx socket (if the heat shield is omitted). I used a 1/4 E8 torx head + universal joint and a 10" 1/4 extension to remove the screw. 3. Use the telescoping magnetic handle to pull out the bolt! sensor (wire connector does not need to be unplugged will be) 5. The new part is a bit tight so I sanded it down a bit to make it easier to insert and adjust the screw 6, push or bend the heat shield down to have more room to work with the screw (I think this is an important step, I should do this when I remove the sensor) 7 With the cable still connected to the sensor, use needle nose pliers or your hand to insert the sensor Place the E8 screw on the Socket (long or narrow socket - doesn't make a difference since you already folded the heat shield down for more room) with 2 layers of paper towels between the screw and socket to hold the screw in place e socket by 1/4-4 inch. Extension + Extension 4" 3/8 (this time without the universal joint) to make it easier to screw in the screw. 9. Return the bent heat shield or leave it as is. Basic moments; -- Press on the heat shield to make more room have to find and insert the screw -- 8" or 10" 1/4" or 3/8" (if the heat shield is down) Extension rod -- no need to disconnect wire connectors - Long-handled pliers for Sensor Pulling/Inserting - Telescopic magnetic gripper to pull the bolt when disassembling, feel free to do it yourself as the dealer changes 2 hours to work.
