It's not leather but at a price I didn't expect from leather. It was complicated, but I'll live with the fold because I'm keeping it that way. The thick part of the belt that will be in the front is 22 inches long and the 2 long belts that go in the back and then tie in the front are each 35 inches long. The belt has a small slit that allows you to thread one of the straps through like a wrap dress, giving you a smooth back rather than a less neat criss-cross on the back. The widest part of the strap is 3 1/4 inches and the straps at the back are 1 1/4 inches wide. I probably won't wear it anytime soon as I'll be wearing it with sundresses, but at the pace we're going, summer may never come. I'm considering getting this in a different color.
