Review on πŸ”Œ QIDI TECHNOLOGY Extruder Module Base by Richard Lamptey

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A pitiful acquisition, although it is quite suitable for a small typeface. Don't plan on using even 50% of the disk.

This was my first 3D printing experience and I wanted to be sure to ensure smooth operation so I bought a pre-assembled unit. The only things I worried about was that the bed was level and that I had the right gluing method. There are several videos on YouTube that address these issues and many of them have helped me get high success rates on my prints for my project. For gluing I removed the blue sticker and used a silicone gasket with glass on it. This printer comes calibrated and I have verified that it is correct by measuring 100mm of filament and sending a command to the printer. squeeze out the same amount. They matched and the bed was flat. These were good indications that this printer was definitely a good option and could print some of the more complicated and delicate parts that I needed. any questions. They always answered my really just general questions about 3D printing promptly and always made sure they had an answer. This printer right here can do what I need right now for my project and got me hooked on 3D printing. My next printer will definitely be an assembled unit that just prints faster and allows for larger prints, but I really don't think this printer can be beat in this price range, there are similar printers out there with a body and then a fake build. Printer. I don't think you can go wrong with this, if it finds it can't print send it back. That was my logic, but it wasn't necessary because this printer was great. Edit: Large base prints as you approach platform max can have serious post-print platform exit issues. Make sure you have a dedicated 3D print removal tool good enough to skip you under the print, then a simple twist will unlock (I'm using PLA) the print. Prints don't bend, so take advantage of that. If you switch to a glass top, you can bend the glass for the same effect, or you can toss the glass in the freezer and have it pop out naturally. Happy printing! Edit 2: Had to hit the extruder the first time, the whole feeder was clogged with cold plastic (laughs?). It wasn't difficult to remove, but I'm changing my rating to 3 "neutral" stars. Once you open this thing, things will never be the same again and they just expect you to know how it all connects. Also, the bed can curve oddly, the left back of my bed is higher and no amount of adjustment can fix this problem. I think that's why my nozzle is clogged after every print. I've learned a lot, but my honeymoon with this printer is over. Support also falls quite a bit when Google Translate fails, there's not much real answer to a real issue that doesn't have a 30 second YouTube clip behind it. (That's like 2 things). Stock up and build your own printer, IMO. You still need to know everything about it if you want him to survive. Edit 3: I just wasted too much time, this doesn't work anymore. The filament is clogging the extruder, the bed cannot be leveled in a perfectly flat position. The support team just says the same, Google Translate goes so far. But I learned a lot from printing. First, avoid this printer. Support would try to replace any part that had dragged me along for months until I could get it back. I just need a real printer for real work.
