I bought this mirror to replace the original driver's side mirror on my wife's car after it was blown away in a winter storm. The mirror was very well packaged, primed and ready to paint. This mirror is electronically controlled but does not get hot. Although the original Scion TC mirrors are not heated either. The price is exceptional and I couldn't find a better deal anywhere else online. Obviously it was a lot cheaper than at the dealer. I've never changed the side mirrors on a car, but if you have some experience with small mechanical jobs and have a set of sockets with a deep socket you should be good to go. The mirror comes with everything you need to replace the entire assembly, including nuts to attach it. All you have to do is lightly sand the outer layer (I used 600 grit sandpaper to give the paint a good grip) and then paint it with 3-4 coats of the correct color that matches your paint code . Installing the mirror took about 30 minutes including the time to figure out how to carefully remove the broken mirror. Looks like new.
