I bought these trunk covers for my 2000 Harley Davidson Electra-Glide. Basically, they are who they say they are. This is a replacement case cover that allows you to install 6x9 speakers. The color of metra goes well with the gloss black finish of the saddlebag. I had two problems installing it (btw I make a living installing mobile electronics) and those problems are: 1. The thickness of the plastic is a hair thicker than the factory covers. This made it impossible to reuse the equipment to attach the factor loop. I ended up running to my local Mom and Dad hardware store to buy hardware that was a little longer, which didn't make much of a difference. 2. And I have some issues with this, the included gasket that needs to be fitted to the inside edge of the lids to ensure a good seal when closed is TERRIBLE! The way it is packaged and boxed for shipping makes it almost impossible to work with when it comes time to install it. To add to the injury, the pre-applied "glue" is a cheaper version of 3m double-sided tape that, even when applied correctly, is unlikely to last more than a season or two with moderate use. I ended up having to apply the gaskets with a combination of automotive hot glue and fabric epoxy. Bad design meters. The lids look nice and the speaker fits snugly in the saddlebag, but I would take the extra time during installation to address the issues I mentioned.
