When I first disassembled my dashboard I thought I would just disassemble it, but there were so many wires going to the main unit that I decided not to cut them. So I thought about my options and finally bought it. It took about an hour to install in the dash and it works great on my 2017 Camry XSE. It was very easy to install, everything was plug and play and works great. My last car had an Axxess line out converter and that's a huge difference, a welcome improvement. I get bass frequencies across the spectrum and the bass control is really handy too. It has a good sense of hardness. I'm so amazed by the quality of the bass signal that I'm actually considering adding a quad amplifier for the front and rear mids and highs. The box has RCA outputs for this.
