When opening the playpen box I used blunt scissors to cut the tape, being careful not to go any deeper than necessary. The product was packed so tightly in a box that it literally touched the tape. I didn't realize this until it was too late and I cut the fabric where the ribbon touched it. It's REALLY thin and easy to cut, it was like cutting paper. Nowhere on the box does it say not to use sharp objects to open it, so be careful when opening the box. I would return it if it wasn't. Collect such pain. The product itself is great and I would definitely recommend it. It is strong and big, two "doors" is good. I will buy another mat to climb in to cover the damaged area. Although there are almost no instructions, it was fun. lol once you figure out how it fits together it's pretty easy to set up except for the last 2 bars as they're really tight but that's the way it's supposed to be. All in all a good product for the price, be careful opening the box. Don't use anything sharp.
